San Francisco, California, is the city of the bay.  Known for its arts, culture, and the hippy movement of the 1960s, San Francisco is one of the most recognizable of California's cities.  Located right on the bay, it is closely connected to Oakland to the east.  This city is considered by many to be the gateway to Northern California, which is known for its luch landscapes and thick vegetative forests.
